An exhibition by Ferran Garcia Sevilla, a leading Spanish artist whose career has embraced many of the most influential art movements of the past 40 years, opens to the public at the Irish Museum of Modern Art on Thursday 10 June 2010. Ferran Garcia Sevilla presents 42 paintings in the artist’s characteristically eclectic style, which draws on influences as diverse as his travels in the Middle East, philosophy, Eastern cultures, comic books and urban graffiti.

Presented by Kunsthaus Bregenz

The Kunsthaus Bregenz and the British artist Antony Gormley (born in 1950) are realising a unique project in the mountains of Vorarlberg. Horizon Field will be the first art project of its kind erected in the mountains and the largest landscape intervention in Austria to date.

The Fleming Collection, which has established itself as an embassy for Scottish art in London, is to hold its first selling exhibition as part of a programme of events marking the tenth anniversary of The Fleming-Wyfold Art Foundation. The Scottish Summer Exhibition which will take place at 13 Berkeley Street, London W1 from 16 June to 4 September 2010 will feature about 100 works by artists invited to take part by The Fleming Collection.

The Royal Collection, The National Trust, Lloyd’s of London, museums and private collectors have loaned important works to the first-ever exhibition devoted entirely to English neoclassical silver. The Classical Ideal: English Silver 1760-1840 will be held by Koopman Rare Art, one of the world’s leading specialist silver dealers, at their premises at 53-64 Chancery Lane, London WC2 from 3-25 June 2010. This unique exhibition will be in support of Sir John Soane’s Museum which will lend designs for silver and plate by Robert Adam, considered one of the greatest decorators of all time, from its extensive collection.

Caravaggio was a man who made enemies easily. A quick tempered, intolerant artistic genius who was fond of a drink and prone to violence, he was frequently in trouble with the authorities and eventually fled Rome after being accused of murdering a former friend in a gang fight. This uncouth upstart also outraged the artistic establishment by by-passing traditional training methods and giving young painters the idea that all they had to do was to put brush to palette and bare canvas. Yet he also had great friends and passionate followers and his revolutionary techniques inspired artists across Europe.

Master Drawings London is a collaborative event in which London’s leading drawings specialists join together to mount a series of exhibitions in St. James’s, Mayfair and Bloomsbury.

An innovate exhibition, designed to stimulate engagement with the visual arts by people with disabilities, opens to the public at the Irish Museum of Modern Art on Thursday 17 June 2010. Altered Images comprises works from the collections of South Tipperary County Council, Mayo County Council and the Irish Museum of Modern Art, all of which have been selected and curated with a view to creating an exhibition which is accessible, interactive and inclusive for all, but especially for those with disabilities.
