Museo d’Arte Moderna di Bologna is delighted to present Marcel Broodthaers. L’espace de l’écriture, the first complete retrospective in Italy devoted to the Belgian artist, curated by Gloria Moure.
This past November, during the Thanksgiving holiday, I had the great fortune of showing my art work at Art en Capital, at the Grand Palais in Paris. The show has become a significant highlight in the cultural life of Parisians with over 40,000 people attending the event over a six day period. It was a life changing experience!
The exhibition ‘The road to Van Eyck’ with masterpieces from early Southern Netherlands and Burgundian painting from around 1400 will definitely take place.
Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen still does not have the 1.3 million necessary, but is ready – now that five hundred thousand has been promised – to take the leap and plan this exhibition for the end of this year.

Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941) was a transformative figure in the modern cultural history of India. Remembered primarily as a poet, playwright, musician, and philosopher, he is also recognized around the world as the first non-European recipient of a Nobel Prize for literature, which he received in 1913. Less well known, however, is his visual art, which he began creating in his mid-60s.

Russia’s triumph over the French army in 1812, which dealt an arresting blow to Napoleon and his pursuit of European conquest, ignited a collective Russian pride and production of decorative arts celebrating the occasion that persist today. The Style that Ruled the Empires: Russia, Napoleon, and 1812 brings together paintings, porcelain, glassware, metalware, attire, and Napoleonic armor and militaria to commemorate the bicentennial of this dramatic event.
