BECA gallery is thrilled to present the ‘2nd Annual Gulf-South Regional’ contemporary art group exhibition at the gallery’s home location at 527 St. Joseph Street, New Orleans, LA from April 4, 2009 – May 23, 2009.
The Pictures Generation, 1974–1984, on view at The Metropolitan Museum of Art from April 21 through August 2, 2009, will include performances, videos, and music by several contemporary New York artists, as well as related film screenings and audio features.

A mobile phone art film by Mark Amerika remixed for cyberspace and public space

Immobilité, a solo exhibition of new work from artist Mark Amerika, opens Wednesday, April 8th, in the Streaming Museum a new hybrid museum that presents exhibitions in cyberspace and a network of public spaces on seven continents. The work will also be presented in full length in The Project Room for New Media at Chelsea Art Museum and will remain on view through May 9. Amerika will give a talk on Thursday, May 7 at 6:30 PM at Chelsea Art Museum, 556 West 22nd Street, New York.
