The OpenArtCode artists return to the Grand Palais in Paris

The OpenArtCode artists return to the Grand Palais in Paris to exhibit in the Salon des Artistes Indépendants during the impressive art exhibition ART en CAPITAL taking place from 27 November to 2 December 2012.
The OpenArtCode group is made up of renowned artists who have very different technical styles and their artistic formation is varied. Coordinated by Studio Abba, they have united their talents in the past to exhibit together on consecutive occasions in Paris at the Grand Palais, at the Rainier III Auditorium in Monaco, the Oxo Gallery in London and at the Pudong Library and CEIBS in Shanghai.

Jerry Uelsmann is considered a darkroom magician and a master of contemporary photography. His work is at once witty, dreamlike, mysterious, and provocative. The Michener Art Museum will be exhibiting nearly 100 iconic photographs from Uelsmann’s celebrated career January 19 through April 28 in a major retrospective organized by the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts. Sam Francis: Works From the 1950s on Paper and Canvas

Gallery Delaive is proud to announce Sam Francis: Works from the 1950s on paper and canvas. Sam Francis’ (1923-1994) career spanned approximately 50 years and includes a staggering amount of paintings, drawings and prints. Influenced by Abstract Expressionism and the works of Clyfford Still and Jackson Pollock, Francis developed a unique style characterized by his sensitivity to light and the use of space to allow free circulation of strong color. This exhibition will present a selection of works on paper and canvas from Sam Francis’ European decade in the ’50s, pivotal in the development of Francis’ distinctive style.
