Audiences will be able to admire paintings by Leonardo da Vinci and Vincent Van Gogh along with sculptures by Michelangelo as well as many other works. In addition to the feature film, theatergoers will be treated to an exclusive 22 minutes of insightful “behind the scenes” extra features as The Vatican Museums’ Director, Professor Antonio Paolucci, and the film’s director, Marco Pianigiani, recall both the challenges and the triumphs involved in the making of this masterpiece about masterpieces.
In this exceptional film, art shows itself to be a sublime means for making the tie between artist and a variety of faiths, from the Christianity of Giotto to the Judaism of Marc Chagall, and that of tormented Salvador Dalì and highly refined Raffaello, all in a journey that includes some of the most powerful works ever produced by man.
