|BEIJING, Dec. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — On December 3, 2014, Chinese artist Shi Qi offered the following comments in front of the Shi Qi Research Association in Beijing’s Sanlitun: painting art can be displayed in three forms — concrete, abstract and impressionist. Incorporating these three forms or modes of expression into one work is my pursuit in the future. The Chinese painting, the Master of Himalaya,is an earlier work of Shi Qi combining the three forms. The artist looks forward to seeing innovative counterparts who would like to give it a try.
Through decades of learning and studying, artist Shi Qi has acquired a deep understanding of the essence of the three forms. Having made reference to a large number of successful paintings created by Chinese artists as well as artists from abroad, he has incorporated these three modes of expression into his own work, forming his own unique painting style. Shi Qi named this unique painting style as “incorporating the concrete, the abstract and the impressionist”.
