Artist Laura Kimpton is bringing ‘Rainbow LOVE,’ one of her iconic Monumental Word sculptures to the Beacon Theater on Thursday, March 9 for LOVE ROCKS NYC! A Change is Gonna Come:Celebrating Songs of Peace, Love and Hope. The benefit concert for God’s Love We Deliver is presented by fashion designer John Varvatos and NYC real estate executive and God’s Love supporter Greg Williamson. The concert will support and honor the work of the cherished New York-based not-for profit-organization, which is celebrating its 31st anniversary.
Drawing inspiration from iconic musical pioneer Sam Cooke and his legendary hit, “A Change Is Gonna Come,” the marquee event will unite new and existing supporters of God’s Love We Deliver in their mission to change the lives they serve for the better together through music – the universal language that speaks to all. It will also highlight the charity’s continued success of providing life-sustaining meals and nutrition counseling for people in the New York Metropolitan area living with severe illness.
“Rainbow LOVE is a statement about equality without exception,” says Laura Kimpton. “God’s Love We Deliver celebrates the same equality by providing meals to anyone, without regard to income, too sick to shop or cook for themselves. Together with the songs of Peace, Love and Hope, Rainbow LOVE is a reminder that caring and compassion for others is more important now than ever.”
