International artists are currently being selected to exhibit at the second edition of World Art Vision. The exhibition is being held from May 19th to June 5th 2011 at Real Círculo Artístico de Barcelona (Royal Artistic Circle), situated in the Barrio Gotico area of Barcelona, Spain.
For 18 days, the artists will have the unique opportunity of exhibiting paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography, prints, installation art, video and digital art and the exhibition will be highlighted by collateral events: presentations, concerts and lectures.

From mid-February onwards the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid will be presenting the first retrospective exhibition in Spain to be devoted to the French painter and sculptor Jean-Léon Gérôme (1824-1904). The exhibition will include nearly 60 works that encompass all the different facets of Gérôme’s career, including some of his most celebrated and important creations, both oil paintings and sculptures.

This summer the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza will be presenting the temporary exhibition Ghirlandaio and the Renaissance in Florence. Comprising a survey of quattrocento Florentine art, its starting point is one of the great icons in the Museum’s permanent collection: Portrait of Giovanna degli Albizzi Tornabuoni, painted by Domenico Ghirlandaio between 1489 and 1490.

From 11 February to 26 April 2009
On the floor, a sea of broken glass, which crackles and crunches underfoot time and time again. Before your eyes, a maze in which there are no walls, only prison bars, fences, curtains, aquariums with translucent fish swimming around, their bones easily visible to the naked eye, mosquito nets, metal stakes and chicken wire… In the middle, a giant ball of crumpled cellophane paper.
