Visitors to The Design Center at Philadelphia University have just weeks left to see Lace in Translation, the ground-breaking exhibition of contemporary work that redefines historic lace, before it closes on April 3, 2010. The exhibition has drawn several thousand visitors and groups from all over the U.S.

Icons of Costume: Hollywood’s Golden Era and Beyond

The James A. Michener Art Museum has organized an exhibition of Hollywood fashions worn by such classic stars as Loretta Young, Elizabeth Taylor, Errol Flynn and James Dean, as well as costumes and accessories used in more recent films featuring Harrison Ford, Kevin Costner and Sean Connery.

The James A. Michener Art Museum presents stone sculptures by artist Ayami Aoyama in the Outdoor Sculpture Garden from March 20 through June 20, 2010. Situated between the Museum and the Bucks County Library Center, this exhibit features marble and granite works that suggest both figurative forms and the landscape, in a style that is at once minimal and abstract.

Moore Adventures in Wonderland

The Rosenbach Museum & Library’s new exhibition Moore Adventures in Wonderland, currently on view through June 6, 2010, is a Marianne Moore and Alice in Wonderland-inspired installation, created by Rosenbach Artist-in-Residence, Sue Johnson. The exhibition investigates the Rosenbach’s collection of the work of author Lewis Carroll and Modernist American poet and writer Marianne Moore and uncovers the unexpected connections between the two.
