The Michener Art Museum Board of Directors is pleased to announce Lisa Tremper Hanover as the museum’s new Director and CEO. She succeeds Bruce Katsiff, who has been at the helm since 1989.
Hanover has been director, Philip and Muriel Berman Museum of Art, Ursinus College, for nearly a quarter century, where she also is adjunct professor, fine arts. BMW Guggenheim Lab to Open in Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg Neighborhood on June 15, 2012

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is pleased to announce that the BMW Guggenheim Lab will open in the Pfefferberg complex, in the Berlin neighborhood of Prenzlauer Berg. The BMW Guggenheim Lab—a temporary public space and online forum encouraging open dialogue about issues related to urban living—will offer free public programs from June 15 to July 29, 2012.

Great Rivers Biennial 2012

The Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis (CAM) and Gateway Foundation are pleased to present the fifth edition of Great Rivers Biennial. Opening on Friday, May 11, 2012, this exhibition demonstrates how artists based in the St. Louis area dynamically engage with the issues, stylistic tendencies, and techniques that define the contemporary art and culture of our time. Master Drawings London 2012

The twelfth edition of Master Drawings London is taking place between 27 June-5 July 2012. The dates have been brought forward to better reflect the material shown during the week, while also coinciding with the 20th century auctions that take place at the end of June, as well as the Old Master sales which happen during the first week

Jeff Koons’s giant Easter Egg with bow in Boijmans

Museums throughout the world have been lining up to exhibit the immense, gleaming orange ‘Easter egg’ with magenta bow ‘Baroque Egg with Bow (Orange/Magenta)’, by multimillionaire artist Jeff Koons. The private collectors, however, chose Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen because of their special link with Rotterdam. The object (over 6 m3) will be on show in the museum for three years.
